Hi there, and thanks for your interest in who I am and what I do.

Background

Most of my life has been in the remote, ancient landscapes across the whole Top End of Australia (Qld, NT, WA), and I'm currently based in south-east Queensland.

Always the seeker, alongside the typical life path of family, study and work in a diverse range of roles such as labouring, admin/retail and bus driving, I studied and practiced spiritual development for the last 30+ years.

Some things resonated and others didn't; I took on board the ones that did, but no framework resonated as a whole. During this time I offered healing in both formal and informal contexts.

After decades of what I thought of as my own eclectic practice, shamanism found me, and I discovered that my experiences and understanding aligned completely with the shamanic framework. In Brisbane in 2018 I undertook a series of workshops held by the Oceania/Asia branch of the Foundation for Shamanic Studies to extend my knowledge, understanding and skills in shamanic practice.

 Shamanic studies

Discovering the framework and practice resonated with me strongly, I started the three year long Program of Advanced Studies in Core Shamanism in 2018. After a covid-related interruption, I graduated with my cohort in 2023, and in 2026 began an internship to teach The Way of the Shaman®, the introductory course in Core Shamanism, to make it more accessible in Australia. I'm currently guest faculty of the Asia/Oceania branch of the Foundation for Shamanic Studies.

Recognising the desire in some clients for deeper, one-on-one support in shamanic skills development for personal problem-solving and growth, in 2026 I also completed additional training in Harner Shamanic Counselling.

 Grounded spirituality

A combination of deep spiritual leanings combined with being a down to earth and practical person usually finds me described as having "grounded spirituality". I now realise this is in completely in line with the shamanic principle of walking in two worlds - the spiritual world and the physical, ordinary world that we navigate daily. My aim is that this manifests as providing meaningful service and teaching in an authentic way.
