Harner Shamanic Counselling

This powerful 5-session modality teaches you the skills to shamanically source divine information on your own.

 

Background

 

Harner Shamanic Counselling is based on the principle of teaching someone how to fish rather than selling them one fish at a time. Michael and Sandra Harner developed Harner Shamanic Counselling to encourage personal spiritual autonomy and teach people to access what they termed ‘direct revelation’. Direct revelation is being able to access information from non-ordinary realities without dependence on a third party such as a shamanic practitioner, intuitive reader or religious figure for spiritual guidance or divination.

 

Years of experimentation at the Foundation for Shamanic Studies resulted in refinement of Harner Shamanic Counselling as a five-journey process over five weeks. During Harner Shamanic Counselling, you become proficient in using the five-journey process to seek information from transcendent spirits and get answers directly from the source. This modality is unique in that you use your own technology to record your journeys for further review.

 

What happens in a session?

 

During the five sessions over a five-week period, you are counselled and supported through the process of:

• framing divination questions
• learning to journey
• using your own technology to record your journeys, and
• reviewing your journeys.

 

I provide the container and support for you to learn and guide you in your application of the process. Journey content is not analysed or commented on beyond indicating when something in the journey is a common classic shamanic experience, as you are the expert on the understanding and meaning of your experiences.

 

At the end of the five-journey process, you will have the skills to independently journey for insights and practical information to apply to your questions.

 

Sessions can be done either in person or via video call.
